“Kedarnath” the debut film of Sara Ali Khan and actor Sushant Singh Rajput “is facing legal trouble as Public Interest Litigation (PIL) has been filed in Uttarkhand High Court (HC) requesting ban on the release of film on the pretext of film “misrepresenting the facts and hurting the sentiment of Hindu’s.”
As per the Counsel of the petitioner the film portrays a “Muslim boy falling in love with a Hindu girl and when they fail to unite they pray for the destruction which results in the 2013 floods in Uttarakhand.”
As per the Counsel the film promotes love jihad and the film is “twisting every truth about the sacred place.”
After the trailer launch of the movie last month the political leader Ajendra Ajay had written to Censor Board Chairman Prasoon Joshi for ban on release of the movie.
